1. Room 101 Ichiban
Room101, the Los Angeles based luxury lifestyle brand owned by Matt Booth, is proud to announce a new bespoke retailer exclusive series, the new Room101 Ichiban. The third installment of the Ichiban Series, a Ranfla 30 x 50 x 19 x 6.5, will be headed to Doc James Cigar and Golf, in Shrub Oak and Mamaroneck, NY and is expected to be on shelves May 18th.
The cigar is medium-bodied and comprised of tobaccos from two different countries; a Habano wrapper from Ecuador, Criollo 98 binder from Nicaragua, along with Corojo 99 fillers also from Nicaragua.
Enter Davidoff Nicaragua, a unique blend that utilizes all Nicaraguan tobaccos – a first for the legendary brand – for a flavor that defies explanation….in a good way. Enjoy their first foray into previously unexplored territory and appreciate this fine quality handmade that features all the attention to detail you’ve come to expect from a name like Davidoff.
The cigar starts on a high note, with a flawless 10-year-aged Cuban-seed Nicaraguan Rosado wrapper. This vintage leaf is spun lovingly around a blend of long-filler tobaccos hailing from Nicaragua’s premier growing regions of Esteli, Condega, and Ometepe. This complex core is then concealed by a rich Jalapa binder, kicking the level of complexity up another notch. Thick, billowing clouds of smoke greet the senses as this slow-burning cigar delivers all the way down to the nub. The best of what Nicaragua has to offer went into this one. And with a name like Davidoff behind it, it should come as no surprise.
Great news! Davidoff Nicaragua already earned an impressive 93-rating, noting: “Floral notes add some complexity to this elegantly rolled, sweet-and-salty toro. It develops profound coffee and leather notes that recur on the long, smooth finish.”
The Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage is a blend of Perdomo’s finest andmost cherished 12 year old fillers, binders, and wrappers. This unique double-aging process ensures the perfectcolor, texture, aroma, and flavor in these tobaccos, making each cigar awell-balanced and full-flavored smoking experience.
The first release, scheduled for August 2014, will be in a beautifulEcuadorian Connecticut wrapper, offering a smooth smoke with a creamy complexity, slight hints of caramel and cedar, with a rich, buttery finish.

4. RoMa Craft
Full Strength. Full Flavor. The Aquitaine contains the same long-filler, full-bodied blend found in the US Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapped CroMagnon, including its unique Cameroon binder. However, the Aquitaine features a beautiful Ecuador Habano Ligero wrapper selected from the best tobacco we could find. This eighth and ninth priming ligero leaf is thick, oily and has amazing texture. The filler leaf for this blend was acquired from three separate growing regions in Nicaragua: Esteli, Condega and a small farm north of Esteli on the Honduran border, Pueblo Nuevo. This third leaf, a ligero, brings a strong, smoky, savory flavor to the blend. When combined with the spicy characteristics of the habano wrapper, the exotic bite of the Cameroon binder and the clean finish of its viso and seco companions, the blend adds another dimension to the deep rich tobacco flavor we present in the CroMagnon.
Avo Heritage utilizes the finest selection of Cuban-seed tobaccos in the business. This cigar is one of the most complex Dominican blends ever created as it features Cuban-seed Dominican long fillers all encased by a Cuban-seed sun grown wrapper grown in Ecuador. With a super smooth character and a full-bodied, full-tilt flavor, Heritage will satisfy the most discerning aficionados.
